4. Cheap shampoo.
I know what it's like to have a family of four on a shoestring budget, but buying the cheap stuff, cheap shampoo that is, is a huge mistake for your hair's health. Instead of the suave, opt for something a little pricier or make your own. It's not that difficult to make.
5. Brushing your hair while wet.
So at the end of the day, doing this won't make your hair dry, but it can absolutely damage and make your hair very brittle. When wet, your hair is most likely to be damaged. Strands of hair can actually break lengthwise! Don't brush your hair while wet. You can, however, use a comb with a bit of leave in conditioner instead of brushing.
6. Irons.
Shocker, right!? Curling irons, flat irons, and other styling tools that use heat are deadly for your hair! It strips your hair of moisture and causes serious damage. If you have to use it, use it on the lowest setting you can, preferably below 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
