7. Eat in front of a mirror.

Another study found that when you look at yourself while eating, you're more likely to eat less - by a third! During this time you reflect on your standards and are reminded that you want to lose weight.

8. Walk for 45 minutes per day.

Here's something interesting: walking for a half an hour won't do much for you. The real calorie burning comes at the 45 minute point. Walk briskly for 45 minutes, not 30.

9. Don't buy prepared food.

If all you have to do is throw it in the microwave for 3 minutes and 30 seconds, chances are, it's not going to be any good for you. Having to prepare your food gives you a better idea of what it is and how it will fit into your weight loss regimen.
