Here's a fun story: A few years ago, my uncle remarried a seemingly nice lady. He'd never been on Facebook before, but when they got married, she created an account for both of them.

My uncle is a good dude, but suddenly this account started posting a bunch of racist, homophobic, sexist, xenophobic material.

Naturally this was pretty alarming for everyone in the family and highlights a pretty big problem with the joint account. When mixed with strong opinions, it can create problems. You don't know who's saying what.

In addition to that, the joint account thing looks pretty desperate. You're still unique individuals, even if you did get married. And besides, it's against Facebook's rules to do that. So don't.
