4. Orgasms relieve pain.
There is some, although limited evidence that having an orgasm can help relieve pain. Both oxytocin and endorphins can contribute to relieving pain. For women in particular, pain detection after masturbation decreased considerably.
5. Orgasms keep you healthy.
A study conducted in Germany found that, among men in particular, those who masturbated daily had an increase in the number of leukocytes, or "killer cells," that fight off disease. This means, especially when you're sick, an orgasm could be the key to getting well sooner.
6. Orgasms help you live longer.
In 1997, a fairly large study was undertaken by researchers in Wales who decided to see if there was a connection between orgasms and the length of your life. They studied 918 men between the ages of 45 and 59 and the frequency with which they had sex. They found that sexual activity had a positive impact on your overall health. Women haven't been studied as extensively but researchers have found similar results for women.
