2. A spicy and sweet combination.
Begin by cutting up one cup of fresh pineapple chunks, or using a cup of crushed pineapple, which usually offers a a sweeter taste. Then you will thinly slice a one inch piece of ginger, and get two quarts of spring water. Secondly, add the pineapple and ginger to the container of your choice, then pour the water over the top, and the refrigerate immediately. Once it's cold you can serve the drink over ice.
This water infusion is perfect if you have a cold. It's one of my favorites to do if I have a stubborn cough. Pineapple juice reduces your cough about as well as any cough syrup could. Give it a try next time you have a nagging cough. I think you'll be impressed by the results!
In addition to helping with cough, pineapples are great for overall eye health, bone strength, immune system strength, digestion, and they're a great anti-inflammatory too. It's also filled with various nutrients, vitamins, and minerals like copper, manganese, calcium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and folate.
