Apple may not be the ancient healing remedy than some people claim, but there has been significant research done proving that it does positively benefit your health. You can add it to your diet by drinking a small amount mixed with water, or mix it into dressings, or sauces to compliment other foods. Here is why you should consider consuming apple cider vinegar in some form on a regular basis...
1. Destroy dandruff.
Using apple cider vinegar as a scalp treatment can alter its pH levels, and help to prevent the growth of yeast. The chemicals in the vinegar in return, will cure your symptoms of dandruff. If you want to easily maintain healthy hair, mix equal parts of Apple cider vinegar and water, and apply it to your hair and scalp. Then you wrap it up in towel until dry. For preferred results, it is recommended to do this wash twice a week.
2. Stop blowing your nose.
If you are unable to breathe through your nose because of mucus build up, a glass of apple cider vinegar may be all that you need to cure your congestion. The high potassium content of apple cider vinegar is amazing for thinning the mucus, allowing it to flow through your nasal passages more easily. So if you're feeling stuffed up drink a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with a glass of water to help relieve the stress.
3. No more indigestion.
Indigestion is a common cause of discomfort for a large portion Americans, and a simple glass of an apple cider vinegar mixture is all you need to fix this problem. Add a teaspoon of organic honey, and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to a warm glass of water, and slowly sip on it about an hour before dinner, or any meal of your choice.
