According to the National Institute of Mental Health anxiety related disorders are the most common form of mental health disorders in America.
They have diagnosed about 18 percent of the adult population with anxiety disorders, and they believe that there are an additional 30 percent of Americans currently suffering from an anxiety disorder, who remain undiagnosed.

1. Sometimes they just need to be alone.
Often times people experiencing anxiety struggle to find a solution that will calm themselves down, and sometimes the best thing for them is to spend a little time alone.
They still love you and want to spend time with you, and they will once they resolve their feelings. Sometimes loved ones and friends of people experiencing anxiety begin to drift away because they feel like you're purposefully trying to be distant.
However, you should be more compassionate and try to see things from their point of view, and try to fully understand the difficulty their situation.
