4. No need to rush.
You may try rush through certain activities throughout the day, but brushing your teeth shouldn't be one. It is important to take at least 2 minutes, and it is recommended to divide your mouth into fourths and brush each of them for 30 seconds. There are even electric toothbrushes available that have built in timers, so you can track your progress.
5. Work smarter not harder.
Brushing your teeth between 2 and 3 times a day is recommended, but could brushing more than that cause problems? Brushing more than 3 times a day can actually wear down your enamel and damage your gums. Additionally using too much force can cause damage to teeth and gums. Since the bristles do most of the work, a light touch is all you need to remove plaque.
6. Get a new routine.
You probably don't usually keep track of where you start brushing their teeth everyday, but dentists say the majority of people start in the same place. The farther you get in the brushing process, the lazier you usually get, leaving the second half of your mouth unfairly brushed. So it is important to start in a new area of your mouth each time to ensure all surfaces are brushed properly and equally.
