It's easy to feel like you don't want to visit the doctor over nothing. It feels like a waste of your time and theirs. But doctors are always around, and sometimes, the most serious conditions begin with the most harmless symptoms. Here's what you should watch out for and why.

1. Nausea.

Nausea is a pretty common thing. Most people recognize nausea as a once or twice a year thing. It's definitely not fun! Nausea can be caused by many different things, like excessive drinking or morning sickness while pregnant. It can also be caused by anxiety, GERD, Crohn's disease, concussions, appendicitis, and other more nefarious diseases. If you have chronic nausea lasting more than a day, see a doctor.

2. White feces.

If your feces are white or clay colored, head to your doctor right away. White stool is NOT normal and should be evaluated by a doctor. It's caused by a lack of bile which may make for a serious issue. Sometimes the bile ducts are closed off, which can indicate a tumor, liver disease, or gallstones.

3. Weird taste after eating.

If sometimes after eating you taste a sort of bitterness in your mouth, see your physician right away. This is likely caused by GERD, which over time can cause damage to your esophagus and may even cause certain types of cancer.
