Too Cold To Grow? This Greenhouse Lets You Grow Food Year Round

Growing food is one of my all time favorite activities. After a long, stressful day, there’s nothing I love more than putting in a little hands-on work in a garden. I live in Colorado at about 6,000 feet, so in the winter time, I definitely start feeling a little bit restless and probably sink more energy into growing stuff indoors than I should. So if you’re like me, a greenhouse is probably a good idea to have.

This fella actually lives in the same community as me, and I have to say, I’m really impressed by his setup. It doesn’t look terribly expensive either, and he’s able to grow lots of crops hardier to slightly colder weather.

Some of the vegetables you can grow in the winter pretty effectively include:

  • Beets
  • Broccoli
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower
  • Carrots
  • Chard
  • Kohlarbi
  • Lettuce
  • Green onions
  • Peas
  • Radishes
  • Spinach
  • Turnips
