1. Jewelry.

It's easy to store your jewelry in the bathroom since that's where most of your beauty routine takes place, but the dampness found in the bathroom, especially if you live in humid places, can be damaging to metal fastenings and silver tarnishes more quickly than it would if kept in a closed box in a dryer room.

2. Condoms.

Who keeps condoms in the bathroom anyway? Your medicine cabinet may seem like a nice, discreet place to stash them, but they're better off in a bedside drawer any day.

Exposure to warmth and dampness will lower their effectiveness and increase their likeliness of breakage.

3. Perfume.

Again, it would make perfect sense to keep colognes and perfumes in the bathroom since that's where the beauty regimen takes place, but steamy showers that heat up the bathroom can actually cause perfume to go sour more quickly.

Keep them in the bedroom or somewhere where the temperature is better regulated.
