He Took A Pregnancy Test As A Joke And It Came Back Positive… He Had No Clue It Saved His Life!
What started as a joke ended up as a lifesaver for this man. He noticed his girlfriend left a pregnancy test out in the bathroom and decided to take the test as a joke. He peed on the test and was surprised to see it come back positive.
Of course, knowing full well he couldn’t possibly be pregnant, he posted it to social media thinking “Hah! I found something funny.” But then someone commented that it could be an early sign of testicular cancer and he should immediately visit his doctor.
And sure enough, he had cancer.
So what causes a pregnancy test to come back positive in men? The test looks for the presence of HCG, or Human Chroionic Gonadotropin, which is a pregnancy hormone generated by the woman’s placenta. It’s also found in men who have testicular cancer.
Of course, the fella did the right thing by going to the doctor and having himself checked out. Of course, a pregnancy test isn’t the only way to check for testicular cancer, but it goes to show how important it is to check yourself regularly and visit the doctor if you have ANY concerns about your health.
