Hillary Clinton Goes All-In On GMOs, Monsanto

Hillary Clinton made big news as she entered the 2016 presidential race last week. Mainstream media reported on her emails, Benghazi, and a bunch of other non-issues. What wasn’t reported was her full-throated support for big biotech companies like Monsanto making frankenfood through genetic modification.

In a 2014 appearance, she supported Monsanto’s GMO seeds and chemicals they manufacture like Roundup, which was found by the World Health Organization to be carcinogenic, or cancer causing.

“I stand in favor of using seeds and products that have a proven track record. There is a big gap between what the facts are, and what the perceptions are.”

The most concerning reality of this support isn’t just the health impacts of Monsanto and their atrocious seeds and chemicals, but the simple fact that the genetic modification of our food has absolutely nothing to do with making more efficient crops, making crops more affordable or feeding the hungry. It’s all about owning the food. It’s about taking ownership and taking control of seeds away from common people like us.

Look, I wouldn’t dream of ever telling you how to vote. I’m not going to sit here and make any claims about Hillary Clinton or any other candidates for POTUS. I just personally find this unacceptable. What do you think?
