These days, a lot of people are wanting to lose weight. It makes sense when you consider that obesity is an epidemic in many places in the world and just about everyone knows it’s bad for you. Consuming this beverage, in conjunction with healthy eating and exercise, will help you lose weight. You can also use it to lower your risk of heart disease, some types of cancer, high blood pressure, and can even reduce the severity of the common cold or influenza. Here’s what to do:

  1. Bring a liter of water to boil.
  2. Add 5 green teabags and remove from heat for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags.
  4. Wash one whole organic orange and cut it into fine slices with its peel included.
  5. Transfer the green tea to a glass jar and add the orange slices, along with some fresh mint leaves.
  6. Close the jar tightly and store in the refrigerator overnight.
  7. Consume one cup in the morning upon waking and one cup before each meal.

I struggled with high cholesterol for years. It was all the bad food that I ate in my early 20’s, I’m sure of it. Fortunately, I discovered this amazing drink that helps you lower your cholesterol. Of course, if you’re concerned about your cholesterol, visit your doctor! Talk about alternatives to medication, but keep an open mind.

You will need:

  • 1 organic lemon
  • 3 stalks of organic celery

Pretty easy, right? Here’s what to do:

  1. Cut your lemons into chunks. Use whole lemons! The peel is good for you too.
  2. Shred the celery.
  3. Add the lemon chunks to the celery and pour in a liter of water.
  4. Allow the mixture to stand for 24 hours, then strain.
  5. Drink about a cup of it before every meal.
  6. Store in the fridge.

Celery has compounds that can reduce cholesterol, and the lemons are a superfood high in vitamin C for good immune health.

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was ten years old. It really stinks!   • 3 tablespoons of fresh organic basil
  • 14 medium organic carrots

  • 5 organic peaches

In a lot of ways, our headline doesn’t do justice to the pain that migraines bring. They don’t just slow you down, but they bring your day to a grinding halt. But did you know that herbal tea can be used as a headache remedy? You just need a few ingredients to do it, and you can even grow it at home! Let’s get into it. You will need:

  • 1 part skullcap
  • 1 part feverfew
  • 1 part willow bark
  • 1 part california poppy
  • 1 part peppermint leaf
  • 1/2 part kava kava root powder
  • 1/2 part lavender flowers
  • 1/4 part rosemary leaf

Instructions:

  1. Measure out the herbs and mix in a large bowl until well combined.
  2. Fill your single serving tea carafe with the mix and brew a cup! If you suffer frequent migraines, have a carafe ready. You can make a larger batch if you feel the need.
  3. Keep the remainder of the tea stored in an air tight container stored in a cool, dark place. It’ll keep for about 6 months.

This is an extremely simple drink recipe that I’ve been using for a few years now when I think I need a detox. It leaves me feeling refreshed and recharged. It enables your body to more easily flush toxic stuff out of you the way it does naturally. It also helps your body digest food and boosts immune strength.

  • 1 cup of filtered water. Never use bottled water!
  • 4 organic green apples
  • 1 inch piece of organic ginger root
  • 1 whole organic lemon with peel still on.

Only use  natural, organic ingredients. Never use bottled water, it’s almost always worse than tap water. Blend the lemon, apples, and ginger in your blender. Add the water if you prefer a less viscous drink. Drink every morning as early as possible on an empty stomach. Allow to digest for 45 mintues before breakfast.

A recent study showed that children with asthma who drank apple juice on a daily basis suffered less wheezing and other general asthma symptoms that children who drank apple juice just once a month. You will need:

  • 5 medium organic apples
  • 2 stalks of organic celery
  • 2 organic oranges, peeled

Simply process all of the ingredients in your juicer, stir, and serve.

The liver is the organ in the body in charge of detoxifying the body of a variety of toxins and metals. It also helps stimulate your body’s digestion. If you’ve been eating lots of bad food and drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, it may be time to think about taking care of this vital organ.

It turns out, you can help the liver stay healthy and do its jobs with the simple grape. Be sure to pick up grapes that are a darker color. The light green grapes won’t do the trick.  In the morning, soak a half cup of grapes in warm water for 15 minutes. Then run them under the sink giving them a thorough cleaning.

Put the grapes in a glass and fill it with boiled water. Allow to sit at room temperature until the next morning.
